Ian Sheppard

Senior Partner Ian Sheppard is 36 years old and started working in optics in 1987. His early optical experience included such diverse rôles as warehouse frame picker, data input clerk and assistant glazing technician. Having completed his A-levels, Ian went straight into practice management for an independent. He graduated with a first-class degree in teaching in 1997. Since that time, Ian has been employed in a number of management positions including practice management for a large multiple. He has also worked as an optical and retail trainer, as a locum dispenser and acting manager, and moved into consultancy and troubleshooting in 2003, following a short spell as a primary school teacher. He set up lookahead Consulting with his father in 2006.
